4. Pay Scale & Probation Details
The selected candidates will be inducted into the Technical and Supervisory (T&S) Grade-C framework, governed by the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA) XI.
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹ 47,330.25 per month.
- Additional Emoluments: Dearness Allowance, attendance bonus, special allowance, HRA, Transport subsidy, and Medical Facilities are admissible.
- Training/Probation: Mining Sirdars will undergo a 6-month probation period from the date of joining. Assistant Foremen will undergo a 2-year training period before confirmation.

A. Technical Qualifications & Statutory Certificates
- Mining Sirdar (T&S Grade-C): Must possess a valid Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS, alongside valid Gas Testing and First-Aid Certificates, PLUS 3 years of underground mine experience. OR A Diploma in Mining Engineering paired with a valid Overman competency certificate issued by DGMS, a Gas Testing Certificate, and a First Aid Certificate.
- Assistant Foreman (Electrical) / Electrical Supervisor (T&S Grade-C): Must hold a Diploma (Minimum 3 years) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute AND an Electrical Supervisory Certificate valid for Mines issued by the Appropriate Government.
- Note: Degree/Post Graduate/Diploma qualifications acquired through distance learning/part-time are NOT eligible.
B. Age Brackets & Relaxations (As on 10.08.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years.
- Maximum Age (UR/EWS): 30 Years.
- Age Relaxations: +3 Years for OBC (NCL), +5 Years for SC/ST, and +10 to 15 Years for PwBD candidates based on category. Ex-Servicemen will receive standard relaxations (Actual service + 3 to 8 years).

The primary screening and selection will be executed through a single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by thorough document verification.

- Duration & Language: The exam will last 90 minutes and will be available bilingually in English and Hindi.
