4. Training Period & Stipend Details
- Training Period: 1 Year (for most trades) or 1 Year & 3 Months (for specific medical trades).
- Stipend: The minimum stipend for NTC/STC holders is ₹ 9,600/- per month (w.e.f. 11.09.2025). In cases where exemption is admissible, the stipend shall be ₹ 10,560/- (2nd year) and ₹ 11,040/- (3rd year).
- Accommodation: No hostel accommodation will be provided by the Railways; candidates must make their own arrangements.
5. Essential Qualifications & Age Criteria
A. Educational Qualifications
- For ITI Trades: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks AND possess a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
- For Medical Lab Technician (Pathology/Radiology): Must have passed 12th class under 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (with minimum 50% aggregate marks in both 10th and 12th).
- Note: The minimum 50% marks requirement in Matriculation is not applicable for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
B. Age Limit (As on Closing Date: 19.08.2026)

7. Mode of Selection (Merit-Based)
- No Written Exam / Interview: Selection is strictly based on academic merit.
- Merit Calculation (ITI Trades): The merit list will be formed by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (with minimum 50%) plus the ITI marks in the relevant trade.
- Merit Calculation (Medical Techs): Based on the percentage of marks in Matriculation plus 12th Science (PCB).
- Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate will be ranked higher. If the Date of Birth is also the same, the one who passed matriculation earlier will be preferred.
