4. Scale of Pay & Perquisites
Local Bank Officers are appointed in JMGS-I grade. The pay scale structure is defined as follows:
- Pay Scale: ₹ 48480 - 2000/7 - 62480 - 2340/2 - 67160 - 2680/7 - 85920.
- Allowances & Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) / Leased Accommodation, Leave Fare Concession (LFC), Medical Insurance, and Retirement Benefits as per PNB rules.
- Advance Increments: Officers with prior completed service as an Officer in Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs) are eligible for up to 02 advance pay increments if their previous job role matches Scale-I Generalist Officer profile.
5. Essential Eligibility Criteria

- Must be a Graduate in any discipline from a University/Institution recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.

- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification work experience in Clerical or Officer Cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB) listed under the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934.
C. Age Limits & Relaxations (As on 01.07.2026)
- Age Bracket: Minimum 20 Years | Maximum 30 Years (Unreserved / EWS).
- SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years relaxation (Up to 35 years).

Phase I: Online Written Test
