3. Educational Qualification & Experience
All candidates must fulfill the specific educational and experience requirements before attending the interview.
1. Project Engineer (M&P)
- Qualification: Full time Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production / Industrial Engineering / Automobile / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Material Sciences / Metallurgical Engineering from an AICTE recognized Institute.
- Experience: Minimum 01 year post-qualification experience. Preference for experience in Repair & maintenance of Machinery and Plant.
2. Project Engineer (Elec. Maintenance)
- Qualification: Full time Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or closely related sub-streams from an AICTE recognized Institute.
- Experience: Minimum 01 year of post-qualification experience in Electrical/Mechanical Industry. Preference for power distribution or repair of electrical installations.
3. Technician (Mechanical) & Technician (Electrical)
- Qualification: ITI Certificate issued by a recognized ITI/Technical Training Institute in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or related trades.
- Experience: Minimum 01 year of post-qualification experience in the respective field.
4. Yard Operations Supervisor
- Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institute/university.
- Experience: Minimum 01 year of post-qualification experience. Preference for candidates with experience in yard operations/shunting in railway sidings, power plants, ports, etc.
5. Shunting Operator
- Qualification: Minimum 10th Pass (compulsory).
- Experience: Minimum 01 year post-qualification experience in yard operations/shunting.
4. Age Limit Criteria
The crucial date for determining the age limit is 01 May 2026.
- For Project Engineers & Yard Operations Supervisor: Up to 55 years.
- For Technicians & Shunting Operators: Up to 50 years.
- Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL) and 5 years for SC/ST candidates applying against reserved posts. Ex-servicemen relaxation is discretionary.
5. Contract Tenure & Allowances
- Tenure: Initial contract is for ONE year. It can be extended up to 5 years based on performance and KRCL requirements.
- Annual Increment: Annual remuneration will increase by 4% of the consolidated remuneration after completing every year, subject to satisfactory performance.
- Allowances: TA/DA for official travel, Complementary Railway Pass for duty, and reimbursement of hotel charges (if KRCL Rest House is unavailable).
- Leaves: 15 days of earned leave for every 6 months (accumulative, no encashment) and 8 days Casual Leave per year.
6. How to Attend the Walk-In Interview
There is no online application process. Candidates must report directly to the venue.
- Download the prescribed Application Format (Annexure-A) from the official website.
- Fill the form clearly and completely. Affix a recent passport-size photograph.
- Report to the specified venue on the correct date between 09:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs for registration.
- After preliminary screening, eligible candidates will be interviewed. A Group Discussion (GD) or elimination round may be held if the number of candidates is high.
- Candidates must come prepared to stay for a minimum of 2 days at their own cost if required.
7. Mandatory Document Checklist
Candidates must carry one copy of the filled application form along with all original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies.
- Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/SSC Certificate/Birth Certificate).
- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets.
- Experience Certificates issued by previous employers.
