2. Educational Qualifications & Experience Requirements

A. Educational Qualifications

  • Civil/Track Posts: 03 Years Engineering Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Electrical Posts: 03 Years Engineering Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics or equivalent.
  • Signalling & Telecom / AFC Posts: 03 Years Engineering Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electronics / Electronics & Communications / Electrical / Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Rolling Stock (Electrical/Mechanical): 03 Years Engineering Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical or equivalent relevant field.

B. Experience Requirements for Junior Engineer (NE-4) Level

C. Experience Requirements for Deputy Engineer (NE-6) Level

Experience requirements for NE-6 level posts vary based on whether the candidate is currently working in IDA (Metro/RRTS) or CDA (Ministry of Railways) pay scales:

  • For IDA Pay Scale Employees:
    • Minimum 05 Years Supervisory work experience in the relevant maintenance/operations field.
    • Must be working in pay scales carrying a minimum bottom pay of ₹46,000. OR 02 Years' experience with minimum bottom pay of ₹40,000. OR 05 Years' experience with minimum bottom pay of ₹37,000.
