Age Threshold Limits (As on 07.07.2026)

• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) [Post Codes 01 to 04]: 18 to 35 Years.
• Primary Teacher [Post Code 05]: 18 to 30 Years.
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (against reserved posts), 10 years for Women candidates (all categories), and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

Mandatory Educational Qualifications

• TGT (Maths): Four years integrated degree course from an NCTE recognized university with 50% marks OR Bachelor's/Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate with combinations of Mathematics (as elective/main for 3 years) and Physics (for 1 year). Must hold a B.Ed. degree and pass CTET Paper-II. (Note: B.Sc Hons in Physics or Chemistry are NOT eligible).
• TGT (Science): Four years integrated degree course OR Bachelor's/Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in Chemistry, combination of subjects (Biology/Life Science/Botany/Zoology) and aggregate. Must hold a B.Ed. degree and pass CTET Paper-II.
• TGT (Work Experience Teacher): Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering with at least 50% marks from a recognized institution. Must hold a B.Ed. degree and possess computer knowledge.
• TGT (Telugu): Bachelor's Degree with Telugu as the main subject OR Post Graduate Degree in Telugu. Must hold B.Ed. with Telugu methodology OR Telugu Pandit Training. Passed State TET/CTET Paper-II with Telugu as an opted subject.
• Primary Teacher: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 4-year B.El.Ed from a recognized Board/Institute. Must have passed CTET Paper-I and have the ability to teach in Hindi & English.

4. Application Fee & Refund Policy

The application process requires an upfront payment. ISRO has implemented a processing fee refund mechanism for candidates who actively appear for the online written test.

• Initial Fee Payment: ₹ 750/- (Comprising ₹ 250/- Application Fee + ₹ 500/- Processing Fee) is payable by all candidates upfront during online registration.
• Refund Policy (Only for candidates who attend the Written Test):
  • Exempted Categories (Women / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen): Full refund of ₹ 750/- will be credited back to the registered bank account.
  • All Other Candidates (General / OBC / EWS Male): ₹ 500/- will be refunded (after deducting the ₹ 250/- application fee).

5. Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern

The selection is heavily based on performance in the online written test, followed by a mandatory practical teaching demonstration.

Phase I: Online Written Test (Computer Based Test - CBT)

• The written test consists of 180 Objective Type Questions for a total of 180 Marks.
• Syllabus Structure (PRT & TGT Maths/Science/WET):
  • Part-I: Proficiency in Languages (General English-10, General Hindi-10).
  • Part-II: GA & Current Affairs (10), Reasoning Ability (5), Computer Literacy (5).
  • Part-III: Perspective on Education and Leadership (40 items).
  • Part-IV: Subject Specific content (100 items). For TGT Maths, questions are split 50% each from Maths and Physics. For TGT Science, questions are 40% Biology, 30% Chemistry, and 30% Physics.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each individual subject in Part-IV (e.g., 40% in Maths and 40% in Physics separately for TGT Maths) with an aggregate cut-off of 50% to pass the written exam.

Phase II: Skill Test

• Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test in a 1:5 ratio (minimum of 10 candidates category-wise) based on written test scores.
• The Skill Test is essentially a practical "Chalk and Board" class demonstration to assess subject knowledge and teaching capability.
• It is strictly qualifying in nature, requiring a minimum score of 60% out of 100 points.
• Final Selection: Prepared purely based on the marks obtained in the Written Test from among the candidates who successfully qualify the Skill Test.
