Walk-in Interview for Project Research Scientist & Consultant Positions

The ICMR-National Institute of Translational Virology and AIDS Research (NITVAR) in Pune (formerly NARI), operating under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has released Advt. No: 45/NITVAR/Project Cell/2026-27. The institute is conducting a Walk-in Interview to fill 05 temporary/contractual project positions.
"These positions are specifically for the short-term research project evaluating the Dengue Tetravalent Vaccine (DengiAll) of Panacea Biotec Limited in Healthy Indian Adults."

3. Vacancy, Age Limit & Salary Structure
The remuneration for the Consultant posts varies based on the level of experience (Junior, Standard, or Senior Consultant). Retired Government employees will have their remuneration fixed as per Ministry of Finance guidelines.

4. Essential Educational Qualifications
Experience should have been gained *after* acquiring the minimum essential qualification. PhD is considered as 4 years' experience, and MD/MS as 3 years' experience.
A. Consultant (Medical)
- Qualification: Minimum MBBS or BDS or equivalent degree in a relevant subject.
- Experience: At least 6 years for Junior Consultant, 8 years for Consultant, and 12 years for Senior Consultant.
- Alternative: Retired Government employees (Pay Level 10 and above) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
B. Consultant (Non-Medical) (Statistic)
- Qualification: Minimum M.Sc or equivalent qualifications in a relevant subject.
- Experience: At least 6 years for Junior Consultant, 8 years for Consultant, and 12 years for Senior Consultant.
- Alternative: Retired Government employees (Pay Level 10 and above) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
C. Project Research Scientist I (Medical)
- Qualification: MBBS/BDS degree.
- Desirable: PG degree including Masters in Public Health, Diploma in Clinical Research, and experience in clinical trials.
5. Application Fee Details
Based on the official notification provided by ICMR-NITVAR, there is no application fee mentioned for attending this walk-in interview. However, please note that no TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview or personal discussion, and candidates must arrange their own transport and accommodation.

Selection Procedure
- The primary mode of selection is a Walk-In-Interview.
- However, if the number of eligible candidates exceeds 30 for any specific position, the institute will conduct a Written Test and/or assignment prior to the interview.
