3. Educational Qualification & Pay Scale
Core Eligibility
Eligibility parameters including Educational Qualifications, NET/Ph.D status, teaching experience, and publications are governed exclusively by the norms of UGC, NCTE, NCISM, and the Statutes/Ordinances of CSU.
- For Assistant Professor (Level-10): Master's Degree in a relevant subject with minimum 55% marks AND clearance of NET/SLET/SET OR a valid Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC regulations.
- For Associate Professor (Level-13A): A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned disciplines, a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks, and a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in teaching/research with required publications.

- Associate Professor: Pay Level-13A (As per 7th CPC Pay Matrix).

5. Screening & Selection Procedure
The assessment and selection workflows differ slightly based on the level of the post.
- Step 1 - Scrutiny: Online applications and uploaded documents are scrutinized for basic eligibility.
- Step 2 - Written Examination (For Level-10 only): Assistant Professor candidates will undergo an OMR-based test containing Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and a Descriptive Test assessing Research Aptitude and Writing Skills. (Note: If candidates are fewer than 20 for a subject, the written test may be skipped).
- Step 3 - Direct Shortlisting (For Level-13A only): Associate Professor candidates bypass the written test and are directly shortlisted based on Video Presentations, Research Skill assessments, and PPT presentations.
- Step 4 - Document Verification: Checking original certificates for age, qualification, and category (e.g., NCL-OBC must be issued on or after 01.04.2026).
- Step 5 - Face-to-Face Interview: Final evaluation for all shortlisted candidates.
