Agniveervayu (Intake 02/2027)
- Engagement: 4 Years under the Agnipath Scheme.

3. Age Limit & Marital Status Rules
A. For Agniveervayu
- Age Limit: Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible. Upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 22 years.
- Marital Status: Only Unmarried male & female candidates are eligible, and they shall undertake not to marry during the defined 4-year engagement period. Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement period.
B. For Airmen Group 'Y' (Medical Assistant)
- For candidates with 10+2: Must be Unmarried and born between 01 July 2006 and 01 July 2010 (inclusive). Upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years.
- For candidates with Diploma / B.Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy:
Unmarried: Born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
Married: Born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive).
Upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 24 years.
4. Mandatory Educational Qualifications
A. Agniveervayu Educational Criteria
- Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed 3-year Engineering Diploma with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English. OR Passed 2-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Other than Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed 2-year Vocational Course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
B. Airmen Group 'Y' (Medical Assistant) Educational Criteria
- Standard Criteria: Passed 10+2 / Intermediate Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Pharmacy Diploma/Degree Holders: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (50% agg, 50% Eng) AND holding a Diploma / B.Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.

Seva Nidhi Package: After completing the 4-year tenure, the candidate will receive approximately ₹ 10.04 Lakhs (absolute amount excluding interest) consisting of their contribution matched by the Government of India. Additionally, a non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of ₹ 48 Lakhs is provided.
Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant) Pay
- During training, a stipend of ₹ 14,600/- per month shall be paid.
- On completion of training, the starting gross emoluments will be ₹ 26,900/- per month including Military Service Pay (MSP), plus applicable Dearness Allowances (DA).
6. Multi-Phase Selection Procedure
The Indian Air Force ensures a fair and transparent selection strictly based on merit. The selection comprises three rigorous phases:
- Phase-I: Online Written Test: Objective type bilingual (English & Hindi) test. Includes negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. For Agniveervayu, duration varies (60 mins for Science, 45 mins for Other than Science, 85 mins for both). For Medical Assistant, duration is 45 mins (English & RAGA).
