Agniveervayu (Intake 02/2027)

• Engagement: 4 Years under the Agnipath Scheme.
• Eligibility Base: Unmarried Indian Male and Female candidates.
• Future Scope: On completion of 4 years, based on organisation's requirements, up to 25% of the specific batch will be offered an opportunity for enrolment in the regular cadre of the IAF as Airmen.

Airmen Group 'Y' (Medical Assistant) Intake 02/2027

• Engagement: Initial enrolment for 20 years, extendable up to 57 years of age subject to service conditions.
• Eligibility Base: Male Indian / Gorkha (subject of Nepal) citizens.
• Job Specification: Trained in nursing, first-aid, management of medical stores, dispensaries, ward supervision, and other Air Force duties.

3. Age Limit & Marital Status Rules

A. For Agniveervayu

• Age Limit: Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible. Upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 22 years.
• Marital Status: Only Unmarried male & female candidates are eligible, and they shall undertake not to marry during the defined 4-year engagement period. Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement period.

B. For Airmen Group 'Y' (Medical Assistant)

• For candidates with 10+2: Must be Unmarried and born between 01 July 2006 and 01 July 2010 (inclusive). Upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years.
• For candidates with Diploma / B.Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy:
  Unmarried: Born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
  Married: Born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive).
  Upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 24 years.

4. Mandatory Educational Qualifications

A. Agniveervayu Educational Criteria

• Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed 3-year Engineering Diploma with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English. OR Passed 2-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
• Other than Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed 2-year Vocational Course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

B. Airmen Group 'Y' (Medical Assistant) Educational Criteria

• Standard Criteria: Passed 10+2 / Intermediate Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
• Pharmacy Diploma/Degree Holders: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (50% agg, 50% Eng) AND holding a Diploma / B.Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.

5. Salary Structure & Allowances

Agniveervayu Pay Package

Seva Nidhi Package: After completing the 4-year tenure, the candidate will receive approximately ₹ 10.04 Lakhs (absolute amount excluding interest) consisting of their contribution matched by the Government of India. Additionally, a non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of ₹ 48 Lakhs is provided.

Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant) Pay

• During training, a stipend of ₹ 14,600/- per month shall be paid.
• On completion of training, the starting gross emoluments will be ₹ 26,900/- per month including Military Service Pay (MSP), plus applicable Dearness Allowances (DA).

6. Multi-Phase Selection Procedure

The Indian Air Force ensures a fair and transparent selection strictly based on merit. The selection comprises three rigorous phases:

• Phase-I: Online Written Test: Objective type bilingual (English & Hindi) test. Includes negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. For Agniveervayu, duration varies (60 mins for Science, 45 mins for Other than Science, 85 mins for both). For Medical Assistant, duration is 45 mins (English & RAGA).
• Phase-II: Document Verification & PFT: Candidates shortlisted after Phase-I will undergo detailed document verification and a Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
  PFT standards: Male candidates must complete a 1.6 Km run within 7 minutes (Agniveervayu) or 7 mins (Medical Asst up to 21 yrs). Agniveervayu Females have 8 minutes for the 1.6 km run. This is followed by Push-ups, Sit-ups, and Squats.
  Adaptability Tests: Test-I (written objective to assess suitability for varied terrains) and Test-II (ability to adjust to military life).
• Phase-III: Medical Examination: Conducted by the Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards. Includes baseline investigations (Haemogram, Biochemistry, ECG, Radiograph, etc.).

A non-refundable examination fee is required to complete the registration process.

• Fee Amount: ₹ 550/- plus 18% GST.

Applications will be processed completely online. Manual or offline applications are strictly prohibited.

1. Sign-up / Registration: Visit the official CASB web portal at https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in. Fill in personal contact details to generate an OTP on your mobile and email. Verify both OTPs.
2. Login: Once registered, you will receive a User ID & Password on your email/mobile. Log in and navigate to the application dashboard.
3. Fill the Application: Carefully enter Personal, Communication, and Qualification details. Ensure that exact aggregate percentage of marks (before decimal) is filled—do not round off (e.g., 49.99% is 49%).
4. Document & Photo Uploads:
   • Photograph: Passport size (100-200 KB). Must be taken holding a black slate in front of the chest with your name and date of photo written in white chalk.
   • Live Image Capture: The portal will capture a live image via web camera to match with your uploaded photo.
   • Signatures/Thumb: Upload scanned candidate signature, parent's signature (if under 18), and left thumb impression (50-100 KB).
5. Fee Payment & Print: Pay the ₹ 550/- + GST fee via the secure payment gateway. Save and print the final PDF application form for future reference during Phase-II testing.
