2. Group-Wise Vacancy Breakdown
A total of 495 Trade Apprentice seats are available, divided systematically into three broad groups based on baseline educational qualifications.
Group A (10th Class Passed) - 100 Seats
Training Duration: 2 Years. Trades included: Draftsman (Mechanical), Electrician, Fitter, Pipe Fitter, and Structural Fitter. (20 seats per trade).
Group B (ITI Passed) - 355 Seats
Training Duration: 1 Year. Trades included:
- Fitter Structural (Ex. ITI Fitter) - 50 Seats
- Electrician - 50 Seats
- Welder - 40 Seats
- Electronic Mechanic, RAC, Pipe Fitter / Plumber, COPA, Carpenter - 30 Seats each
- Painter (General) - 25 Seats
- Draftsman (Mechanical), ICTSM - 20 Seats each
Group C (8th Class Passed) - 40 Seats
Trades included: Rigger (20 Seats - 2 Years Training) and Welder Gas & Electric (20 Seats - 1 Year 3 Months Training).
3. Educational Qualification & Age Limit
Age Limit (Calculated as on 01 October 2026)
- Group A (10th Pass): 15 to 19 years.
- Group B (ITI Pass): 16 to 21 years.
- Group C (8th Pass): 14 to 18 years.
- Age Relaxation: Relaxations apply as per standard rules (5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for Divyang/PwD).
Educational Requirements
- Group A: Passed SSC (10th Class) with General Science and Mathematics. General/OBC/EWS candidates require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. (SC/ST require only a passing class). ITI-passed candidates are NOT eligible for Group A.
- Group B: Passed ITI in the relevant trade from a Government-recognized institute. General/OBC/EWS candidates require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. (SC/ST require only a passing class). Final year appearing students can apply if they pass before 01 October 2026.
- Group C: Passed 8th Standard with Science and Mathematics. General/OBC/EWS candidates require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. ITI-passed candidates are NOT eligible for Group C.

5. Selection Process & CBT Exam Pattern
The selection relies entirely on merit scored in the Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by document verification. There is no personal interview.
Stage 1: Online Examination (CBT)
- Format: 100 Multiple-Choice Questions. Duration: 2 Hours.
- Group A & C Syllabus: English & GK (25), Physics (25), Chemistry (25), Mathematics (25).

Stage 2 & 3: Document Verification & Medical Exam
Top scorers will be called for document verification and trade allotment on the same day. Final admission is subject to passing a strict medical fitness examination as per the Apprentices Rules 1992.
