Pay Scale Structure The Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom) shall be recruited in the IDA pay scale [E-1] of Rs. 16,400 to Rs. 40,500/- (2nd PRC pay scale w.e.f. 01.01.2007) along with other applicable allowances. 3. Essential Qualifications & Age Limit Educational Qualification Applicant must possess the following educational qualifications from a recognized Institution/University as on the closing date of application: Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in any of the following disciplines: Telecommunications Electronics Radio Computer Electrical Information Technology (IT) Instrumentation OR M.Sc. (Electronics) / M.Sc. (Computer Science). Candidates possessing higher qualifications like M.Tech in the prescribed disciplines are also eligible to apply. Exam Pattern Mode of Exam: Objective Type (CBT) with Negative Marking (-1 mark for each wrong answer, +4 marks for each correct answer). Duration: 3 Hours (conducted in ONE shift). This includes JTO Phase-I training (10 weeks), Field Training (4 weeks), and JTO Phase-II training (6 weeks).
