- Age Bracket: 18 to 33 Years.
- Date of Birth Criteria: Candidates must not be born earlier than 02.01.1994 (UR/EWS), 02.01.1991 (OBC-NCL), 02.01.1989 (SC/ST) and not later than 01.01.2009.

7. Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The recruitment process comprises 1st Stage CBT, 2nd Stage CBT, and Document Verification/Medical Examination.
A. 1st Stage CBT (Screening Test - 90 Minutes)
- General Awareness: 40 Questions
- Mathematics: 30 Questions
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 30 Questions
- Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks (120 mins for eligible scribe candidates). Negative marking @ 1/3rd mark per wrong answer.
- Candidates equal to 15 times the category-wise vacancies will be shortlisted for 2nd Stage CBT based on normalized marks.
B. 2nd Stage CBT (120 Questions - 90 Minutes)
- General Awareness: 50 Questions
- Mathematics: 35 Questions
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 35 Questions
- Total: 120 Questions, 120 Marks. Negative marking @ 1/3rd mark applies.
C. Document Verification & Empanelment
Shortlisting for DV and Medical Examination is done at a 1:1 ratio strictly based on 2nd Stage CBT normalized scores.
8. Medical Standards & Important LASIK Rules
- Medical Standard A-2 (Goods Train Manager): Distant vision 6/9, 6/9 without glasses. Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery or any refractive surgery are strictly NOT eligible for A-2 posts.
- Medical Standard B-2 & C-2 (Other Posts): Distant vision 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power not exceeding 4D). Candidates with LASIK surgery are eligible subject to Railway Board conditions (minimum 1 year post-surgery, residual corneal thickness >= 425 microns, etc.).
9. How to Apply Online
- Visit the centralized application portal: https://www.rrbapply.gov.in.
- Click on "Apply" and complete "Create an Account". If already registered for previous 2024–2026 CENs, log in with existing credentials.
- It is strongly advised to authenticate your identity via DigiLocker or verification during account creation for faster processing.
- Select CEN No. 06/2026 (NTPC Graduate) and choose ONLY ONE RRB. Give your order of Post and Zone preferences.
- Live Photo Capture: The portal captures a live photo via webcam/mobile camera. Ensure a plain white background, dark-colored clothing, open eyes, and no cap, spectacles, or mask.
- Upload your scanned signature (Black ink on white paper, cursive/running handwriting, 30–49 KB, JPEG). Signatures in capital letters will be rejected.
- Upload SC/ST certificate in PDF (max 400 KB) if requesting a Free Railway Travel Pass.
- Pay the application fee online through UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit Card before 08 November 2026.
