4. Pay Scale Details

The selected Drug Inspectors will be posted at the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization Head Quarter in New Delhi, but they carry an All-India service liability and may be posted anywhere in India. They will be on a probation period of Two (02) Years.
- Carrying out duties specified in Rules 51 and 52 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945.
- Inspection of all licensed drugs manufacturing establishments.
- Monitoring plant processes, manufacturing, standardization, testing means, and storage methodologies.
- Taking samples of drugs from the premises of manufacturers/dealers for analytical testing.
- Investigating cases of spurious drugs and launching prosecutions for breaches of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules.
